Painting Process

Our Professional Painting Process – Quality You Can See and Trust

At All-Brite Professional Painting & Services Inc., we believe that a great paint job starts with meticulous preparation and attention to detail. Our professional painting process is designed to ensure a beautiful, long-lasting finish for every project, whether it’s your home’s exterior, interior, or specialized woodwork. Here’s how we bring our commitment to quality to every step of the process.

Exterior Painting – From Preparation to Perfection

Prepping & Painting Exteriors

1. Pressure Washing: We start by pressure washing the exterior using an algaecide to kill and remove moss, mildew, and dirt. This step ensures a clean surface for the paint to adhere to, providing a solid foundation for a durable finish.

2. Moisture Testing: Before any painting begins, we test the wood with a moisture meter to ensure the moisture content is within warranty specifications. This prevents potential issues down the road and ensures the longevity of the paint job.

3. Color Sampling: To make sure you’re completely satisfied with the color, we apply samples directly on your building. We’ll get your approval before moving forward, ensuring the color perfectly matches your vision.

4. Masking: We carefully mask windows, shrubbery, walkways, roofs, and any other surroundings that aren’t being painted. This step protects your property and ensures clean, crisp lines where the paint ends.

5. Siding and Surface Preparation: Loose siding is nailed down, and if necessary, we replace any damaged sections. We wire brush, scrape, and sand any loose paint and caulking to create a smooth surface. We also plug knot and open holes to prevent future issues.

6. Caulking and Priming: We re-caulk damaged or missing caulking around windows, doors, and corners using upgraded 30-year caulking. For areas that need extra attention, we apply a peel bond type primer to ensure the paint adheres properly and provides a smooth finish.

7. Painting: Using an airless sprayer, we apply the first coat of paint, followed by rolling or brushing as necessary. A second spray coat ensures an even finish and the proper thickness to meet warranty specifications. We use upgraded Acrylic Latex paint, which comes with a warranty of 20 years or more, providing lasting protection and beauty.

8. Trim Work: We complete the process by applying a second color where necessary, carefully painting the faces of the boards for a polished finish.

9. Quality Control: A thorough inspection ensures complete coverage on all surfaces, and we address any necessary touch-ups to meet our high standards of quality.

10. Final Walkthrough and Cleanup: Once the painting is complete, we de-mask the area, clean up, and haul off any garbage. We then walk around the property with you to ensure your complete satisfaction before providing a lien release upon payment in full.

Interior Painting – Bringing Your Vision to Life

Prepping & Painting Drywall of Interiors

1. Color Sampling:

We begin by putting up paint samples to confirm the color and sheen, ensuring they meet your expectations. Your approval is important to us before we move forward.

2. Masking:

We carefully mask windows, woodwork, fixtures, cabinets, flooring, and any other surroundings not to be painted, protecting your home’s interior from any potential paint splatter or damage.

3. Drywall Preparation:

Minor sheetrock repairs and hole plugging are included. We also offer optional services such as texturing, major drywall repairs, or installation as needed.

4. Sealing and Priming:

We apply stain lock sealer to any stains, or a full primer if necessary, to ensure an even base for painting.

5. Painting:

Using an airless sprayer, we apply two coats using a cross-spray pattern, ensuring full coverage and a smooth, even finish. All paints are above contractor grade. For kitchens and bathrooms, we use low-gloss paint for durability and easy cleaning, while flat paint is used elsewhere for a smooth, elegant finish. Optional finishes like semi-gloss are available for areas where more durability or light reflection is desired.

6. Ceilings:

We include ceilings in the same material as walls unless otherwise specified. Optional services such as ceiling painting in a second color, accent walls, faux finishes, and antiquing are also available.

7. Quality Control:

A thorough inspection is conducted to ensure complete coverage, and any necessary touch-ups are made to achieve a flawless finish.

8. Final Walkthrough and Cleanup:

After the painting is complete, we de-mask, clean up, and haul off any garbage. We then conduct a final walkthrough with you to ensure 100% satisfaction before providing a lien release upon payment in full.

Enhancing Your Woodwork with Precision

Prepping & Painting Trim, Woodwork, and Cabinets

1

Surface Preparation: We start by plugging all nail and screw holes, caulking seams and joints, and sanding the woodwork as necessary to create a smooth surface.

2

Dust Removal: Using Tac Cloth, we wipe down the surfaces to remove any dust and debris, ensuring a clean base for painting.

3

Priming: We apply a stain lock adhesive primer to prepare the wood surfaces for the top coat.

4

Final Sanding and Dust Removal: A second sanding is done if necessary, followed by another wipe down with Tac Cloth to ensure the surface is dust-free.

5

Painting: The woodwork is then sprayed with an airless sprayer using high-quality semi-gloss enamel, resulting in a durable and beautiful finish.
